…..and fun was had by all!

The Teen Group has had a successful start. We have a good mix of teens from 13 to 20 years old join the group and we are beginning to see friendships form. Julie Sinclair and Linda LaPointe, the Teen Group coordinators, are looking forward to continuing this success with a summer of fun outdoor activities.

To fill you in on what you missed so far, in March the teen group met for the first time. We got to know each other while enjoying dinner and a movie. The movie, Eight Below was almost as good as the popcorn. Teens and parents got to talk, laugh and enjoy getting to know each other over dinner at the Ground Round.

In April, we met in Springfield for bowling and lunch. We were happy to have a few new teens joined us. We welcomed Ani Petithori, Jaime Welch, Kathleen O’Reilly and Tiffany Meyer to the Teen Group. We cheered each other on during two strings of bowling, with Kathleen O’Reilly taking the top score honors. Congratulations Kathleen! Afterwards we had lunch and dessert (the best part!) at the Ninety Nine Restaurant.

Please join us on June 10th at the DSRG picnic at Look Park, details in this newsletter. We will be having a Putt Putt Golf Teen Group Competition. We will head over to the Putt Putt Golf Course at 1pm so please arrive in time to join in the fun! We will have prizes for highest score, most unique putt putt form, best golf outfit and best sportsmanship. When you arrive at the picnic check in with Linda LaPointe or Michael Boucher so that we know you are joining the fun!
